We did a section of the nantahala on our Smokey mountain adventure.

I didn’t dare take anything on the raft with me because it was our first time and I had no idea what the difficulties would be (and I had to buy shoes because I was wearing flip flops with my water shoes packed in the back of the truck )
So I had to rely on the pics that were taken by the company.

I should’ve save some of the other pics from our “group” there were some that brought their own equipment and rented the double funyak that actually flipped it going down that waterfall! We did okay in my opinion…..no guide level 3-4 I think and we didn’t flip, only got stuck on 1 rock and sent mr muddy down the first waterfall backwards and we were first in our group to finish the run

This was our first time rafting but our first time in kayaks was blue river during a flash flood!!!!! That was interesting!

A little bit! We started a little late and it was just sprinkling at first. We didn’t reach a pull out until dark and river had risen from around 5 ft to 20ft! We had to hitch a ride back to camp and then take the motorcycle back to get the truck and trailer with trees down etc. then I made my turn too early into a private drive and had to unhook and hook trailer back up in order to get turned around. I think we finally made it back to camp a little after 1 am????
