I love the sense overall…..the only part that I’m not too happy about is that you have to touch the screen for it to come on where I could just flip my wrist to see Charge 2

Have you checked the settings?
You might be able to change the setting to where you can turn your wrist and have the screen come on.

I never checked the screen on my Fitbit.
I just forget about even having it on. I usually only check the app in the evening when I'm done for the day.
