BYC Café

DL, it looks lovely on the beach and I bet you arm is wondering, "What kind of a vacation is this?"
I feel it!
But I'm accomplishing 4 things at once on these morning outings.
I'm relaxing and enjoying the beach.
The dogs are getting their exercise.
I'm getting a nice stretching workout.
And I'm saving lives.

Good opportunity to learn to 'throw' with left arm....and will balance out the 'sore'.

Yesterday late afternoon at Slaughter Beach. Bella kept staring intently into the dunes. I looked over and there was a small red fox peaking out between the grass clumps. Bella just watched it before it ran back in. She's SOOO good off leash!
Skittles was leashed up soon after. He would have made chase.

Good morning Cafe. Thanks for the coffee, LF.

It's annoying when the boys won't let go of the girls. I have to pry his claws off to get them back in the water.

That testosterone poisoning is a powerful force.

They're too heavy! That big girl alone is hard to get far enough out so she lands well in the water.
BUT I've been researching it and I can just flip them over. So I did the whole length of the beach this morning and by the time I double back the vast majority of them had already made it to the water. I got about four times as many crabs saved that way.

Whoa! :eek:Those are straight out of an old Star Trek episode. Roughly how big are they? Can we get a perspective shot tomorrow with a finger or a coin or something?

Flipping them over was a brilliant idea.:bow

Please keep the beautiful pics coming. I honestly don’t remember the last time I went on vacation & I’m enjoying yours vicariously.

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.

I left the house opened up last night as it was getting stuffy. It was wonderful to really hear the waves crashing on the beach and feel the cool breeze coming in.

Assateague Island yesterday.

A band of 6 horses was hanging around this campsite. The colt is 5 days old.

This is a stallion from a second band we found in a parking lot.
