1Mommahen...we don't even care what your squares look like, we want you to join the swap and learn to crochet and have fun laughing at yourself and us while you learn!!! This swap thread is a very "zen" thing....it's really ALL about the journey, not the destination....so feel free to join, we won't judge you at all. I can crochet the fancy squares if I want but I prefer the easy ones to do while I watch tv so it's only the smarty pants hookers like Scoot or Maw or Jacie that will show off with the squares!!! lol!!! j/k!!!

Mine are plain ole grannies out of plain ole cotton yarn, lol!!! So don't be intimidated at all...any of you newbies, really we don't mind.

Theme: "Anything Goes" Feel free to experiment and challenge your skills for this swap! Hexagons, Circles, Squares, Triangles, or "Other" crocheted shapes are all welcomed!! (No amigurumi in this swap.)

Color: Any! Mix it up or stay the same, up to you!

Size: 6" minimum - 12" maximum. Try to be consistent though, for example, all of your squares should be pretty near the same size, all of your circles should be pretty near the same size....

Pattern: Any! Feel free to mix up your patterns and make every square different or every hexagon different, or all the same, up to you!

Number: As many as there are participants in the swap.

Dates: Chat and gab and get to know one another in this thread. Post as often as you like! Official sign-up opens on February 1, 2009 and Closes on March 1, 2009. All items are due to me no later than May 1, 2009.

New folks are encouraged to visit with us here in this thread and post and get to know us! Chickens are not required, in fact several members of this group are not chicken owners! We are always happy to have new friends here in the crochet club! We'd love to have you join the fun, join the swap or any other projects that we have going on!!!!

When you have finished your Shapes, send me a pm and I'll send you my address so that you can mail in your work.

You will be required to send your crocheted shapes in individual ziplock bags with your username and real name on each bag. In addition, you will need to send $10.00 for Flat Rate return postage. Thanks so much!!!!!! Have fun!!!

Well, we have been rained out AGAIN for the stupid last race to determine the points championship and seems the money grubbers could just end the dang season...BUT NO!!! They have to drag this agony out another week and have rescheduled till next saturday..ughhhhhh!!!!! Please be wishing for a total rain out next saturday so we can have this finally called to an end and not have to rsik losing for some crazy mechanical fluke or wreck....nervewracking!!!!


Right now it's sunny, go figure!~ Gonna go do chicken chores and find something for an early supper then crochet a bit..made soap this morning...Amy that blueberry vodka is easy..pour your blueberries in bottle, you can spalash some raspberry schnappes over them if you want, don't have to, add sugar, 1/4 to 1/2 cup or so, depending on how many blueberries you use, then stir good and cover with some breathable material and sit in a dark place for a month to ferment...then strain off the blueberries (def. gonna use them for something killer!!) and bottle your home brew as gifts. You can serve it over ice with lemon and lime or with the raspberrry schnappes and the lemon/lime or as a blueberry martini..all yummy. My all time favorite is the kahlua and I have a bottle of that "making" too...I didn't have a recipe for that so someone on the crafts page, likely that wil and crazy atomic Lori!! found me a recipe off theinternet and that is what I used for that...it's vodka based too so buy that liter bottle of Burnett's vodka for under 15 bucks and make yourself some hooch!! The kahlua needs to sit a month too then mix it with milk for a white russian or go to the grocery store and buy that mudslide mix in the section at the end of the soda isle and make mudslides with it...I like the milk in mine. Give it a whirl!!!

Well Karen, LC hasn't come back with my groceries yet.

And dinner tonight is baked pheasant with some kind of veggies. What goes with ringneck pheasant? We had asparagus the other day with cheesy meatloaf. Corn with lasagnae. Have broccoli and green beans, sweet potatoes and reg idaho ones. Think I oughta stick the beets in the fridge, or cranberry sauce? Not that I eat either, but Jim and the girls do. Esp the cranberry sauce.
Think I'll talk him into doin steaks tomarrow if LC ever gets back, we might end up starving. Or maybe she's waiting for me to show up and get 'em. Prolly wants me to cook 'em there too, so she can start on her SS before me. lol

Hey, Skand, I finally made it back from the store.

Got your ribeyes. They look yummy! But their cauliflour was all brownish, so I left it there. Got you some "broccoflour" instead. Looks like cauliflour, green like broccoli. If you want to come pick it up, I'll even cook it for you! Matter of fact, all ya'll come & eat. I'll have supper ready when you get here! Bring your hooks & yarn, and we'll have a hooker's pajama party!!

OK gals well dh is complaining cuz I ate one spoonful of cookie dough and have been sitting here for the past hour reading posts trying to get myself caught up soooooooo SE I added some of the things you posted to the front page and started the list on the front page and will add the new button and gifs later after ding dong head goes to bed so take a look and let me know what you think like or dislike and I have not got everyones name added to the list just yet but I will. and will try to help you keep up with it too. so I will post ya'll again this evening that is if dh doesn't exercise me to death. That's fine on the broccoflower. Just make sure I get my ribeye medium rare. I am so not wanting to even try the pheasants.
I put these lil guys up every night. Even after one of the boys started hissing at me. lol And I know one of them in the fridge is hissyfit, last night, no hissing. The three left all went in their beds by thierself. The one girl we have, she loves to be picked up and snuggled by me, she aint too big on daddy picking her up at all. But oh well, that's the food chain. oh lemme show ya a few pics of my big girls. lol
