SECRET SANTA PROJECT!!!
thchristmas9.gif

Secret Santa Items: Must be a HANDMADE item of reasonable cost or investment. For example .... if I were to crochet a long scarf out of nice yarn and add a spider ornament to that, I would think that would be a nice gift...if I made a record bowl with the crocheted washcloths and the music cd and music soap like I plan to make for my co-workers, that would seem like a nice gift to me too...you all are talented and what you make does not need to cost much, just be thoughtful about it and it will mean the world to whoever gets it, I'm sure

******on another note...please go back through several pages of this thread every now and then and send a pm to those folks we don't hear from very much...it worries me that new people fall through the cracks and the members that have been around awhile, but can't post much, may feel a bit disconnected...each one is an integral part of this group and the reason we are the most successful large crochet swap group on the web!! Let's make sure we keep our hand outstretched to the ones that can't be here all the time so they know they are always welcome...won't take long if you get in the habit of it but please help me out with this effort!! Thanks so much ya'll, you are sure good eggs!!! lol!!!******

Well the shawl is officially done, washed, dried, and all sorts of fluffy and soft. Other then it being a cold day and Jim lookin purty in purple, it looks great! Is it normal for it to look super long now LC?
The ruffle I added has distracted from the thinness in the middle. Now my other question on it, how in the world do I add a tag or something to show where the top is? I curled the part that's supposed to go on the back of the neck, so that it won't bother Ms. Naomi's neck, but I'm afraid when the staff helps her put it on, they won't be able to discern the top. I can't sew, other then darning the occasional sock, nor do I have the spare material to make a tag and write on it with sharpie marker. Or would that work? lol

Speaking of falling off the earth... Remember when I got into a fight with a tomato cage and lost? Well my shoulder never did feel quite right. Then I got a major sinus infection and my shoulder ached so bad it kept me up all night Thursday night. So yesterday I went to the doctor after work. Two hours & 6 x-rays later I had:
prescriptions for antibiotics, anti-inflamatory, and pain meds,
a sling for my arm,
a needle to the right hip,
and a tentative diagnosis of a partially dislocated shoulder.

I get a firm diagnosis Monday when a radiologist examines the x-rays. Yay. I shudder to think what all this will cost.
All really wanted was some antibiotics and some muscle relaxers

The needle to the hip was mild painkillers to make up for wrenching my arm around and making me almost cry (Almost kicked him once, too. Maybe the needle was revenge?). Darn shot hurt so bad I asked the nurse if there was another shot somewhere to numb my butt! (no.)

After all that I got to climb into my stick-shift car and drive myself to the pharmacy, then home.

DH felt so bad for me that he built me a fire and took care of me.

Even made breakfast for me this morning.

Blasted tomato cages.
