Crochet Question!!! My hooks are coming off strike and I think they want to be ambitious with an afghan...

We'll see how that goes...anyway. my question(s):

Hook size: I have an N 10.00mm... The pattern says I need an N 13... ummm I have not seen anything other N 10s....Am I looking wrong?
Also, which one is the simpler pattern: one marked Advanced Beginner or Easy?

ok I see my hooks scurrying back behind chairs...maybe when my household is feeling a little better (we've got the after Christmas crud), I will chase my hooks out again....also, I am working on a hat as an experiment and it is very much not working out....it's looking like it could be maybe a really floppy hat from the 1600s...it does not look like it should.... I will keep trying...but for now...there go my hooks hiding again...

easy would be the easiest to do and as far as N goes all i have ever found was N10 mm so i dunno....i think that the one you have would probably work. LOL that shouldnt take you that long to chain!! hope y'all feel better!

Ris, once you get the monotony of that 115 out of the way, you're home free. It's like jumping in the cold water. It's really only bad at first...well "at first" lasts seemingly forever, but time wise not that long, but it gets progressively worse until your body suddenly warms up. Once your over that hill though, you're golden.

lol Risu... I started doing blankets, so to me, they are the easiest. Now, everything smaller then a blanket is neato! hehehe
You can pretty much do any pattern with any size hook. The hook is what makes the stitch look either big or small. BUT changing hooks midway thru...very noticible...lol
I just hate starting...ugh.. if someone would start my stuff, then hand it to me to finish, I would be super happy.

LOL I have (thanx to the kids) Cherry coke... and Jim drinks cap'n morgan's with sprite.. hehehe
He makes em taste like vanilla coke. That is, if he fixes the first drink, then I'm the one that makes the rest. For some reason, he doesnt like me to make the first one, hmmm wonder if it's because he likes to be able to talk before he passes out?
