I have been going through all our pages here and finally have finished with a list of our links!!! I'm going to post the whole list in a separate post....here is what you do when you have a new one....highlight and copy the whole list and insert the cursor in between the quote][/quote brackets.... then add what ever you want and hit submit. If you hit the quote button at the bottom of the post, you will NOT be able to edit and add to the list....let's keep putting all the links we use and like on it and it be a handy reference for us. I also have a lace for our Etsy stores and any hooker blogs ya'll want to add...so help me keep it updated! I can't add cute gifs to it because they are too hard to carry forward in a new post, so it will be simple. Hope it helps

boy thats a list scrambled, I will be on here all night looking at it. I don't want to mess it up so I will just tell you, hobby lobby has a 40% off coupon on their website that you can print off.

Well ladies I am now offically rear-deep in yarn. I will have to post some pics in the next couple of days. I haven't forgotten Scrambled about the yarn stash pics I have just been trying to clean it up a bit.
I got home last night around 9:45pm the back seat of the car was filled to the top with yarn. Needless to say I had as much fun as a kid in the candy and toy and Ice cream shop with and endless spending amount.
smile.png
in the end Mother ended up spending over $150.00 on yarn. I had to sub some of the colors that I needed in red heart yarn with bernats yarn couse I could not find the colors I needed at any of the stores here. But I think I got fairly close. so we will see how they come out.

Scrambled I would sign up for the lionbrand crochet along but I am working on those 2 afghans as we speak (the 6-pointed star and the cathedrail window from anniesattic.com) otherwise I would be on there too.

Loves I got that pattern at bevscountrycottage.com/6inchsquares.html if my link doesn't work just google bes country cottage.com

Smittys I got those patterns today. thanks I will do a few here and there when i need a break for the afghans.

Scooter jsut hang in there and don't give up hope on me I will get this darn thing copied and sent to you even if I have to hand write it out. I will send it with dh tomorrow and see if he can get me a copie on his lunch break. and will get it to you as soon as I can.

Well ladies I am off to put the kidos to bed, they have picked out a long bedtime book this evening so I will be reading half of the night. Have a great evening and I will hook with ya'll tomorrow. Maw.

I got the email about that yesterday, but after going through all the byc topics I follow I didn't have time to look at it. I fixed that though, #944, I might even figure out how to get that pattern to 6" square

Whoooo hooo Lisa!!! Wow, that's 3 BYC hookers on a national crochet-a-long pluggin the site...maybe some of those folks will come over here and join our swap, very cool...if they do, chickens or not, they are welcome!!!!

Looking forward to the community project and the great afghan!! Maybe that will be one my daughter will actually like...who knows, would have thought that cotton one with the really loud colors was bright enough, but no!!!

Angie that sunflower afghan is very tempting, you are right!! I think it's on sale as a summer promo, good price and gorgeous squares. That would make some gift...if I hadn't spent that amount on the yarn for the lionbrand crochet-a-long, I would buy it and save it until I had time to make it and then use it as a gift....if it's still around next friday I may do that....lol!! I am soooo addicted..thank god I never was a drug user, it would be hard to fit that need in over the yarn craving!!!!

Lucky you Maw!!! Can we all share your Mom?!!!!!

I'll add Hobby Lobby to that list, I think I'll try to link the page in my signature line so it won't get lost but ya'll feel free to add to it, hopefully it will be a good reference for us. I'll carry it over when we finish this swap...speaking of..for the spring swap, I'm thinking we'll call it an "Anything Goes!" swap with squares, triangles and hexagons!!! You can make any or all of those and what we mix up and send back will make some nice looking stuff...plus it pushes the newer crocheters to challenge themselves a bit ..course the squares will be fine too but the triangles are super easy and I am sooooo liking the hexagons, they are quite popular right now and lots of easy patterns on those links above..so be looking around..probably have gab and shoot the breeze till March then sign up and be done by May and then Maw can start the Fall one back whenever she wants after that....seems like a nice rythym to me, keeps us connected and thinking about crochet and having fun!! So...be looking around for triangle and hexagon patterns!!

I was bagging up my squares last night, need about 8 more to have 3 each in the bags and made everyone a little better stitch marker this time..these have lobster claw clasps on them so they won't fall off, just hold your stitch..with a chicken bead too! Anyway, when sign-up ends and I know the exact number of folks, I'll finish and shoot those your way Maw, I'm gonna send them flat rate with a ten dollar bill included for however you return them. Thanks for organizing this time...sending you some home made soap for your effort

Well, ya'll have a great day...we have a double header race this weekend, tonight and tomorrow so we'll be busy and keep your fingers crossed for Travis!!
smile.png

Scrambled, I got the e-mail about the crochet-a-long but I know it's waaaayyyyy over my head. Here I am proud that I got 1.5 squares done last night and you've got 3 to a bag
roll.png
Plus extra doodads.

Last night I had an extra teen at the house. I swap her for an extra pre-teen later today. And my weekend will be spent making peach butter, freezing apple slices for future pies, and processing the 50 tomatoes ripening on my porch into sauce for winter s'ghetti dinners.

Plus, I had a Welsummer pipping this morning before I left for work. So I may have more babies when I get home

Erm...I am still having trouble keeping up with all you ladies...and I was of the understanding the deadline for squares was November 5th, or sometime like that? I will have to back and look. There is absolutely no way in the known universe I will have any squares done by Sept 1st...I thought *that* was just the deadline for the sign up???
fl.gif
November I can do...Not 3 days from now....

Scambled I put the web addy for the first page in the website page when I posted on the CAL last night, just look for me and click on my name and it takes you to the first page of this topic. My first post on there I am #944

Quote:
Don't worry......I'm not a fast hooker either. I think I only have about 5 completed and working on #6.

You are correct about the dates. The sign up deadline ends in Sept and I think the squares are due to Mawchick by Nov. 1st.

The rules are on page 1 of this thread. I've read them & read them and never can remember every detail.
