Unfortunately, I buy lottery tickets (about $2 a week) and forget to even check the numbers - I should clean out my purse and maybe find I am rich!

I sure wish that were true for you!!! How cool would that be!! You could buy tons of mac and cheese for those boys with that and someone to cook it for you too, lol!! Alot more time to work with the wool!!

I'm sorry Shanah I didn't understand what you were asking (duh!) but Bonnie's answer is perfect if that was your question!!

I spent several summers at camp Nat and it was great fun and the counselors were super..course that was alot of years ago but I doubt two weeks in a cabin in the woods has changed too much!! I should have gone back as a counselor when I got older, they asked me several times, but I was too interested in a hunky basketball player to give up another summer!!!

Karan, are you planning to make melt and pour glycerin soap or the cold process soap with lye?

I have 9 more squares and a border left on my lionbrand crochet-a-long...yeah!! It is gonna be nice though, really a good heavy weight with the wool-ease yarn (double strands). I'll take some pictures when I am finished with it.

EEYEEEWWW just get home form work and find DH has built a frame over the raised bed. So we get the plastic put over it and stapled. We have lots of tomatos still set on so we will try to streach the season on them for 4 weeks if possable. Then DH put new layer of shavings in the chicken coop, I gathered eggs and put the ducks to bed while he feeds the horses. After he picks up his tools and I water in the greenhouse and repotted a tomato tree. It was 7:40 by the time we got in sooo, I ordered pizza for supper. I bought my Powerball lottery ticket when I picked up the pizza.

Sorry SE I'm not making soap, I think that's Shanah. I am thinking of making some Ice candles , checked out that link with the crafts and remembered doing those when I was in Girl Scouts. Hehehe

"...are you planning to make melt and pour glycerin soap or the cold process soap with lye?"

It's me, yup. Soap is one of my many projects and I have no idea why I decided I needed to do it other than I think it would make great gifts and sell well at the egg cart. I have expanded my egg business already! haha!
I am going to melt and pour glycerin soap. I am not brave to deal with lye. And I think that glycerin soap is pretty.

Michaels Crafts store is very helpful, though I wish they had more scents at the one I go to...

I got three loaves of zucchini bread prepped to bake tomorrow. See, this craft/hooking stuff just keeps perpetuating more domestic things.

Yup, I am headed to the couch with a square and a hook and hey, thanks for answering my question...My squares are very simple...so I just wasn't sure what my chains were doing.

Natapple, I loved my time at camp as a girl scout. I didn't have much time to be one, my small town didn't support a lot of things sometimes but with my DD, she's going to be going on a lot of field trips and all that good stuff. Fortunately my younger sister still has her Brownie's uniform and they don't change much in 15 or so years.

Off I go...where's that hook?

Sleep and hook well, all! I hope we all stay warm.

I have some good news and some bad news...

Good news first! I was just offered a job today! Part time, but perfect for our family. Great hours, decent pay and very relaxed atmosphere (which I can definitely use). I interviewed over 6 weeks ago and never gave it another thought. lol

Next, I hate to do this so late, but I have to drop from the swap. I haven't even started my blocks yet. I start my new job on Monday and to top that off, we're moving back to "town" in less than a month.

I just don't feel I can get them done with everything going on right now. Both the job and move were things that have just come up in the past several days.

So sorry ladies.
sad.png
Maybe I can make the spring one....but will wait until MUCH closer to that time lol.

I do think this move and new job will definitely help my depression. I'm doing so much better on my meds, and think this will only improve things more.

Shanah..here is the link alot of us use for the 24 pound block of glycerin and all the fragrances you can imagine!!
http://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com/ my favorite site to buy from..unless you get the 50% off coupon for the 10 pounds of glycerin at Michaels, this place is cheaper. I love the peppermint, the pomegranate, the cotton candy and the apple jack scents the best!!!!! Course there are hundreds..read the reviews before buying one as Wildsky bought one that she said smelled like "stinky feet"!!!! But she forgot to read the review too so be sure and do that. You can use a bread loaf pan and line it with a heavy plastic trash bag...make a loaf of soap and slice it when it gets hard.
Makes awesome gifts, people ask me for it all the time. If you buy molds, silicone are the best, pricey but easy to get your soap out of. I've been using the melt and pour a year now so just yell if you need help!! I think Angie makes soap too so lots of help here. Good luck!! Dont pack the soap with the eggs or the buyer wont be able to eat them..the smell will transfer...

Scott, my Queen, glad to see you back, you nut! Miss your cheer when you aren't here. Guess we need to send out a rescue party for Maw too if she isn't back soon!! Dang those alien probes!!

What is an "ice candle"...like I need one more thing to do!!!!

And that zucchini bread smells good from here Shanah..you must have just put it in the oven!!

Blueberry muffins here this morning, they smell good too and I have been lucky enough to freeze several bags of fresh blueberries a co-worker generously picked and gave to me!! Whooo hooo!! Love blueberries!!!

Later ya'll, have a great morning!! Going to miss checking in on you during the day next week but have to get back to work!! My dogs will sure miss not being 2 steps behind me!!

Good morning, everyone! Let me just start off by saying that I am going to CULL ME A ROO very SOON!! He started crowing at 12 a.m. and crowed ALL night!

So, basically, I went to bed at 10 p.m. and got up at 12 a.m. I finally gave up trying to sleep at about 4 a.m.

Anyway, no hooking done yesterday, but I did get 28 quarts of tomatoes canned!
th.gif
I have another couple of runs to do today and then I will be done with the tomatoes. That just leaves the bushel of apples, 40 pounds of sweet potatoes, and some pears!

I think my foods are multiplying like rabbits out on the back porch! LOL

Anyway, just wanted to check in. I'll catch ya'll later!

All that canning is sooooo cool Steph!! You will sure appreciate all your effort when your snow is a foot deep outside this winter!! Lucky you!!!!....un-lucky Rooster though it seems!!

...can you say "chicken salad"!!!!!!!!

DH was saying chicken-n-dumplings, chicken noodle soup, chicken casserole, chicken pot pie..............

He was also counting all the different ways to kill a chicken. LOL If he does that again tonight, I can bet that I will have one less Roo this weekend!
