Theme: "Anything Goes" Feel free to experiment and challenge your skills for this swap! Hexagons, Circles, Squares, Triangles, or "Other" crocheted shapes are all welcomed!! (No amigurumi in this swap.)

Color: Any! Mix it up or stay the same, up to you!

Size: 6" minimum - 12" maximum. Try to be consistent though, for example, all of your squares should be pretty near the same size, all of your circles should be pretty near the same size....

Pattern: Any! Feel free to mix up your patterns and make every square different or every hexagon different, or all the same, up to you!

Number: As many as there are participants in the swap.

Dates: Chat and gab and get to know one another in this thread. Post as often as you like! Official sign-up opens on February 1, 2009 and Closes on March 1, 2009. All items are due to me no later than May 1, 2009.

New folks are encouraged to visit with us here in this thread and post and get to know us! Chickens are not required, in fact several members of this group are not chicken owners! We are always happy to have new friends here in the crochet club! We'd love to have you join the fun, join the swap or any other projects that we have going on!!!!

When you have finished your Shapes, send me a pm and I'll send you my address so that you can mail in your work.

You will be required to send your crocheted shapes in individual ziplock bags with your username and real name on each bag. In addition, you will need to send $10.00 for Flat Rate return postage. Thanks so much!!!!!! Have fun!!!

Hey, ladies! Guess what!?! I've got a broodie!!

This is my very first broodie, and her first time. I gave her 6 eggs, so we'll see how she does. If she quits half way through, I can always pull out the 'bator.

Tonight, I am finally working on the last 10 Christmas ornaments I'm making for another swap I'm in on another board. I'm crocheting fan ornaments in thread. It takes me about 30 to 45 minutes each, and I'm pushing to get them done by tomorrow evening. Then, I'll need to starch them, let them dry, package, & ship.


It looks like I've got several posts to catch up on, so I'm going to do that while I crochet. Have a great night, everyone!

Congrats on the broody! We had one go broody, the day before Jim cleaned the beds out. Boy, did he make her mad!
Well, I've gotten number 2 square about halfway done. Guess I better get back to it. If I don't get started on them, I'm sure to be distracted somehow. *checking behind my shoulder for the kid fixing to scream my name* lol

I think I mentioned we have Fancy right now. My DD has designated herself as her tour director and so far the mascot has been living it up. Hannah is a great motivator for getting me to take pictures.
I will see if I can actually keep it up through Thanksgiving. Hannah does not really want to send her onward.

I also have an add on for my browser that gives me a side bar kind of thing full of smilies (it is connected to smiley sites) Here's the site: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/375 My problem is that a lot of smilies won't work on a Mac computer still.

You can google smileys, emoticons, smileys for {insert your browser type here}

The other way to do it is through image searches on google or yahoo or whereever and then just copy paste (hot link) the site in between the img tags here.

Amy I go search for graphics and then save them in a file folder then I can load them to my ImageShack account. I hope that's as clear as mud sorry don't know any other way to explain it.
