Wow. just joined BYC and now I find chicken, duck and crochet folk! I am not sure what exactly you are about but please do drop me an email with details. I have been crocheting like crazy the past few months...Christmas you know.... I already have a bag of odd and end yarns from these projects that I usually give to the local thrift store when I have a big enough bag because I don't know what to do with them. No crochet clubs or groups I know of around this neck of the woods. A new shop opened a few months ago but most of the folk I have met are knitters.
I am more into thread crochet, from sewing tread to bedspread weight but the last month I have done a few blankets with "regular" weight yarn. Been using a yarn called " I love this yarn" has a very soft feel and makes excellent afghans and throws.
Does anyone do double ended crochet? I played with it a little to get the feel of it and plan on a blanket or something after I finish the throw I am doing now. Should be done by tomorrow.

First before I launch into an intro, Redhen, it's not getting changed, some mods would like us to post new threads for each new swap.

But SE and Maw are having a discussion with them. No changes we just get to keep on going with our crazy group. whew! *wipes sweat from brow*

We're just a bunch of gals with too much yarn comin out our ears. We crochet, some have chickens, ducks, what nots.. it's up to you .. You are more then welcome to sit down, lift your feet up, and laugh yourself silly when we get to gabbin. Okay, so maybe, ya laugh yourself silly trying to keep up with the pages flying by if you're like redhen and a few others that don't keep in constant contact. We get the giggles, get the sillys, and occasionally, we get something finished. Right now, we are finishing up our Secret Santa projects, getting ready for our Spring Swap, which you're more then welcome to join, if ya wanna. Oh, almost forgot my job, Karen'll get me with another snowball if I forget to do it.... Refreshments and snacks are to your left. Beads, yarn, hooks, and trinkets to yer right. Friends are aplenty. Laughs are free, but, like pennies, need one, take one. have one, leave one. lol

my mom and DH both have dibs on the baby's birthday hers is tuesday and his is wednesday and I don't think DD is going to like staying pregnant till friday considering they are inducing on tuesday. Sorry

Nah, Risu, I likes bein a flight attendent. That means I get to take LOTS of trips. *tellin feet, trip as in visit, not trip as in fall!*

Yeah, much robbed the cradle, sorta, he was 32 and I was almost 23 when we met. I thought it was cute,.. reverse numbers. Yeah right! Basically, when they're that old.. they are DEFINATELY set in their own wierd way. lol I like pizza, he dun. I love sub sandwiches, he's the opposite. But, it's great in a way, he got all the experience I dun ever wanna learn about. lol And besides, who else would take care of him when he goes loco. Oh wait, he's been there for years. lol
