When I went to Illinois for awhile, I thought snow was great too.. up until we got 16 inches one night. Built a 6 foot snowman...first time I'd ever made a snowman and had snow still on the ground from where I rolled him up.
Then it was all over and done, and had a big ole cup of cocoa, called home and said, I'm done! Goin back to texas!

If I could get our family totally self sufficient, to where I could be able to stay at home without having to worry bout running out of anything for a month at a time, I would totally go up north. Then the only complaint I would have is, where's the store!!!

Yeah we get to have this snow through at least March unless we get some kind of weird heatwave. Lots of fun. I will be

by the 2nd week in January esp since we are probably getting more snow tomorrow...and the next day...and apparently for the next 3 or 4 days...

My chicks are nutso! They were being so crazy I had to turn their light off so they would sleep. Now I turned it back on and they are going insane! Such weird little birds....

OK now to unglue myself.

Okie - I'm so thankful that it's "just" a UTI. I know how painful those can be, but so much better than the alternative! Oh, and an ultrasound on Christmas Eve - how exciting!! Let us know when you get home!!! (You surely don't think there's anyone more important than your brothers & sisters here on Christmas Eve, do you? wink

Skand, I think it's a great idea that your kids are so informed of what's going on.

Oh yeah! We had tortellini w/portobello mushrooms, spaghetti, rigatoni w/breaded chicken, ravioli, chicken scampi, salad, & breadsticks. Then we had lemon bars, brownies, cookies, and fudge for dessert. Now, some kids have brought me a plae of MORE desserts. And there's lots of cake & stuff left in guidance from yesterday's party.

One hour and counting until the final bell today! Then I can stay home for the next two weeks!!!

oh and I kept on wondering who LC was...till I put two and two together.

Beautiful pics ris. sorry that you have to be snowed in for that long! I remember a thread here on BYC a while back that talked about how this winter was supposed to be one of the coldes/most active weather winters on record. If this keeps up it looks like that will ring true for most folks.​

Sounds like it's Time Out or Nap Time. SLip them some benadryl, it knock them out for several hours.

I'm glad I don't have Skand's problem, of course a few swift smacks on the padded area of the posterior might calm them down a bit.

Glad to hear that it's only a UTI and not something more serious, drink lots of Cranberry juice as it will help clear out the infection.

I'm going to start working on my Granny Squares tonight again. Itried last night and wound up with something that started to look really strange.

Well, anyway, the nice day was today, some sun out, now it's supposed to turn cold, rain Saturday night, and down to 11 degrees on Sunday. Yuck!

So I know what I'll be doing this weekend!

Hey everyone, had a really nice day weather wise. Almost 70 and sunny. I tried to pick up all the pecans in my front yard that the really hard wind blew down last night but every time I would turn my back my lil one would be running right for the road. That didn't last long. Gave up and came inside. Dumped out all my yarn and had fun going through it all. I had big balls of colors and verigated that I have completely forgotten I had. Now I have to decide what colors I want to use for the swap.

Risrocket I can't believe all that snow! Really pretty but I feel like everyone else. It would only be fun for about a week then I would be ready for it to go. Don't know how you do it.

If you only knew that all that has happened after nap time, and definatly AFTER the butt bustins..yes I did add a S..as in plural..lol

Yup, did that, made a really cute outfit for my youngest's stuffed puppy! Outfit looks almost like a Nanny 911 hat and cape..lol
