Pfft, don't get down on yourself like that.

I think it looks really nice.

I think it's quite nice and I really like it...aside from the fact that is Gerald on his role as "The Phantom of the Opera" which is my favorite musical ever your drawing techniques are impressive, that said, I know how you feel, today my hands didn't feel like sketching, tried a couple of times, torn up a few sketches, got frustated but hey, there is always tomorrow and there is still a pile of undone drawings that one day will get finished!

Here is your first lesson in using tortillions Nix! I hope this helps...

First, you start out with a pencil:

And tortillion:

A good thing to start out with is to just take the pencil and make straight, solid lines on the paper. Then, with the tortillion, go over it just like you did with the pencil:

Always hold the tortillion at a tilted angle:

Never like this, because it will ruin the tip:

In the end you'll get something like this:

That was an awesome lesson..thank you! I must admit Tortellion gave me the craves for tortilla chips and salsa...yumm

I'd be happy to give some (Constructive criticism) out actually! I love to help other budding artists.

You seem to have the basic structure of the face down, but I think the jawline should be a bit smoother. The left side of the face, where you can see a bit more of the jaw, should be less rounded and a bit more straight. I like how you did the eyes though. When you go over to drawing realistically from drawing Anime and Mange etc etc, the eyes are probably the hardest. Sometimes, when doodling, I'll get lazy and draw anime-ish looking eyes just because I don't want to have to go into the extra trouble of trying to draw them like they look real. Anyways, to make the eyes look more "real" make them a bit less round. Remember, eyes should look more like lemons, instead of oranges. (I have major trouble trying to make eyes look good, so don't worry about not getting it right away.)

Don't worry about the lips though. I absolutely hate drawing lips, its my least favorite part about drawing. That and eyes. Goodness, last night I spent an hour trying to perfect an eye I was drawing, and even now it doesn't look all that great.

If I were to change anything about the lips, I would make the mouth a bit longer in length. Not by a whole lot though.

I hope this helps!

I will be honest with you...I find it difficult to give you feedback, partly because I have never drawn Anime, Mange, Cartoon, etc, etc. You have a skill that I don't posses, I'm very good at drawing realistic but I have yet to draw something Anime.
I will agree with Katie's pointers but again all that will be perfected in time with practice. I have done hundreds of drawings but every now and then I run into the same issues mentioned by Katie, the lips, the eyes, the jawline, especially in Realistic Drawing, you have to get it perfect otherwise it's pointless. I would suggest look at different pictures of real people, study their eyes and mouth in different expressions, or take face pictures of yourself doing different facial expressions, that way you'll learn how the face, muscles, nose, lips etc etc look with each expression.
Art is Art and there is not a great drawing or a bad drawing, for as long as it reflects who you are as an artist, then your drawing will always be special.

Yeah. I feel a bit more ready to draw today, hopefully I'll have time. I'm going on a week long vacation with my family and I've got a ton of stuff to do.

By the way, I loooove the Phantom of the Opera too. Michael Crawford is my favorite Phantom, but Gerard Butler did a pretty good job. :3

Yea, no one could ever match to MC and SB..but from the movie I only liked GB.

*Sigh* The scanner murdered my work. D: Ahhh... This is my first time actually trying to complete these, so please don't make fun of me.

Enough delay! Without further ado, here are my attempts at realistic colored pencil!

Haha, look at the fail face!

I need to blend better. 3: No comment.

The scanner made it really bright. D:

You got an amazing talent...those are great! I really like them.
PS...do you have a digital camera or a camera on your phone? Try taking a picture instead of scanning it...I know you will be glad with the result.
