All you complainers! If you are finding that you excel at cartoony type pics, then maybe you should consider developing that instead of wishing you were a different artist. I like watching cartoons, even now at my age. I can't watch cartoons with out cartoonists... Just saying... Develop the talent you have. Not every artist can draw realistic... I mean, look at van Gogh, looks good from far away, but its a mess up close... And that WAS his talent. A lot of pencil artists can't paint for crap. Well, they can paint crap... Lol, but what I mean is, take your talent and run with it. Make it the best you can, leave the stuff your not good at alone. Cuz I tell you what, ima be real depressed if we don't have cartoons...

I need to hear this kind of stuff: I see so many artists that are so much better than me, and I just want to be that good, but I don't know if I ever will.

Everyone can improve, you just have to practice and try. It does take time to become better, you don't get better overnight so just be patient and you will be rewarded with the time you spend on art. I'm not much older than you guys but I can say that I have improved a LOT since your guys' age. At that age, I myself could only draw cartoonish looking drawings and could only wish I could draw realistically. But guess what? I tried anyways even though I sucked at it. As time went by and I kept practicing, I saw my improvement little by little; drawing by drawing. And if you aren't good at some type of art, I would say just try and try again, because you WILL improve if you keep on trying. Don't give up after a couple of bad outcomes. Anyways, I'll stop my rambling now

That happens to me a lot. I'll be drawing a ton, then suddenly I can't draw. Then all of a sudden I draw somethin I consider one of my best. So I bet it means your min is saving up to make a masterpiece!!!!
