My mom picked up my sketchpad while I was out of the room and began flipping through it. Her(and my dad's) very descriptive words:
eerie
evil
disturbing
scary
weird
not 'right' for a young lady to be drawing

She wants me to quit roleplays, PLUS, she's trying to blame it all on Peter!

Got up at 7 this morning, ripped out a lot of papers.

OH MY GOSH!

I draw a lot of dark stuff too, I understand.

Do you ever have a moment in bed when you think of something to draw, and you start drawing it in your head? Then teh next morning you can't think of it? -_-. Hate those.

I have things like that happen to me often as well! Lol.

The other night, I was up really really late because I couldn't sleep. It wasn't about art or anything, but I seriously remember having this really philosophical moment. But I can't remember it now. All I remember is that it sounded very smart in my head...

I know she thinks it's crazy, and not the good crazy, she means the bad crazy.

On top of that I think she thinks I'm having suicidal thoughts now too. On top of her thinking I'm throwing up after I eat.

Thanks. It wasn't even the dark ones that she didn't like the most, except for the one that was bleeding to death, and there were several older ones with knives in them...but it was the ones, like, with ropes on them and stuff, or all tied up that really disturbed her. And, I...ah!

I'm glad most of the Kelpies in there I never finished with the tattoos and teeth and such. She wants to know 'where this behavior is coming from' and what 'made me draw them' and 'is there something wrong' 'should I be concerned' 'this kind of thing is a red flag to parents' among other things.

um, if that is true, then why do a lot of people make money for those type of drawings? heck, even i get the urge to draw some blood, and lots of weapons

and i have alot of drawings with tattoos/fangs, and i even have a few MH drawing if colored most likely will have blood on them. and no, i dont color because i dont want my mom to find out, i just dont have the color pencils to use LOL

I'm sorry this isn't going the way you want it to.

Always remember though, your parents know what's best for you, not you. Er, that sounds really bad, but I'm sure you get my point. If your Mom and Dad feel that perhaps you should stop drawing these pictures, you should do what they say.That is what Christ asks of us, isn't it?

You should also explain those pictures to your parents. People often vent their feelings out onto paper, either in words or drawings, and those pictures you've drawn might be giving your parents the idea that you're feeling suicidal. Which, from what I can tell, you aren't. But in the end, you should probably lay off the knives and blood and focus on something, maybe a bit happier? Like, flowers or hands. They sound like boring topics, but there are so many possibilities when it comes to drawing them! You could use pastels, charcoal, colored pencils, the possibilities are really endless. It will make your parents happier to know that you're using your artistic abilities to draw something beautiful, and cheerful, instead of sad.
