I like fantasy creatures... Lord of the Rings all the way baby, can't wait for the Hobbit to come out. But like I said I don't draw much of anything nowadays. Here's the 'Lady of Light'

miss heny your work looks great. Free hand is very difficult, and as always practice practise practise. I found that stick lines helped me with proportion, and when you do your lines remember to throw in a few muscles this adds depth... I can advise better than I draw lol.

ya'll inspired me to draw a person, even though i'm not very good at them.

It's digital photographic art, I took the pictures, then manipulated them and added some other art to it. That piece took first and best of show at the county fair. It didn't even get selected for viewing at the state fair.... but I live in california and have to compete with hollywood types that have better equipment and far more experience. I have only been doing this type of art for 4 years and have been doing photography for 6. I did that picture 2 years ago.

Your stuff is good and the more you draw the more it develops. I am sure that art classes help, I notice that people do really well with them. I only self learned and probably could have done a lot better if I had learned from a master.

Your proportions are good, many people can't hack that. Try pronouncing your curves a little more... what helps is if you practice just legs, then just arms, face shapes. Draw your face shape first then the eyes, nose, and mouth in that order. Then once you feel ita advanced draw the whole thing together... another help is to get a book that teaches art and use tracing paper... trace a lot, that helps train your hands. I lost my book somewhere, I moved 14 times since I last saw it.
