BYC Drawing Club(NEW!!!)

Ok, I finally took some pictures of what I have been working on throughout the past 2 months. I hope you like them, I can tell I'm getting better but they still need work. By the way, to introduce myself my name is Ashley and I'm 16 years old. All of my pictures are done in garphite, but once in a while I'll take out the charcoal.

Here's my first one, it's a drawing of a picture I took looking down a corn row.

Here's another one, it's a still life of one of the eggs from my last hatch.

Here's something a bit different. My art teacher told us we had to do one ink drwing with either scribbles or dots, so this is my ink scribble drawing of a koi. It's literally a bunch of scribbles done with a pen and I finished it in under an hour.

Here's a barred owl drawn in garphite on a chunk of wood. Took me about 3 hours to draw, but it took about 4 just to get the wood.

I think I might have already posted this one, but I'm not sure. It's just a garphite drawing of a young girl.

And this is what I'm currently working on but I think I might give up. The textures aren't turning out like I wanted and I'm not very good at drawing trees. It's the beginning of railroad tracks, both sides that are currently blank are supposed to be woods, I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this one yet.

Anyways, those are some of my drawings! I love everyone elses work, I've been flipping through page after page of this thread for an hour but 172 pages are a lot to look at, hahaha.

Those are really beautiful drawings!

I've been recently getting into watercolor and really like using it!
Here's a watercolor Yellow-Rumped Warbler among autumn leaves:

A watercolor foraging White-Crowned Sparrow:

And a sketch of a wingless, lizard-like dragon character I'm developing:

He can choose between a highly combustible (and melting) acid or a fire ball. He can spit acid, than fire to create a flaming explosion! He also has a frilled crest which can be raised when excited or angry and a sensitive, prehensile tail that parts in two at the end.

Yours are so beautiful! Especially the White-Crowned Sparrow! I love paintings with all the beauitful bright colors and I do have a bunch of paints and brushes, but nothing ever turns out for me so I stick to drawing.

Girls are easier to draw than guys, especially in the face. I am still figuring it out. The back is easier to draw, hence the angle.

No to bad, I think the face depends on the level of detail that you're going for. Just draw a bunch of heads and practice the hair on them. Smaller shorter strokes and spikes are the way to go.
