I have read that guineas like to eat bugs has anyone ever done or heard of putting a cricket or two in the brooder box to give the keets something fun to chase and eat

I am new, My guineas are 3 months old. I do remember when they were in the brooder, they would chase and eat ants that I would find crawling around in the basement.

Kinda, My chickens were 12 weeks old and guineas were 6 weeks old when they met. At first it seemed like the chickens were picking on the baby guineas. Now life is good. chickens are 25 weeks and guineas are 12 weeks old.

The poulet eggs come about 5 mo and the reg eggs come about 7 mo. Unless you have the hens penned up lots of luck finding their nest!

What are Poulet eggs and regular eggs, Thanks for the info.

I'm guessing they mean that poulet eggs are when they first start and lay an egg here and there, but when they get a little older, then lay more regularly. I think, it's my first time raising guineas too this year lol

The poulet eggs are first ones laid, and they are only laid for a short time.
