BYC Malware?

I got this message while reading Speckledhen's thread about her attack hen. :/

Not sure where to put this issue.. Just thought I'd throw that out there. Never had this happen before.

I get that on another site I go to. It is your Internet Security (do you have Norton?) warning you about "planetsmilies.net." Someone on the page you were on used an image (a smilie) from that site.

I use Kaspersky, and have never seen anything like that before :/ This was a google chrome warning.

Haven't had it on any other page. I'm going back to the thread to see if I can figure out where it is starting.

Great job! Yup, someone was using a smiley in their post that came from another site and it was causing the message above in some Chrome browsers.

I edited out the image, so hopefully the error will not show.

For the record: The image itself couldn't / wasn't doing anything that would have put your system in danger.

Google Chrome warning saying it's content from cm. netseer. com

any ideas?

Interesting because that page is from 2011 and has no pics. Could be an avatar, I guess.
