I honestly think Dexter stopped killing them because of a combination of things. He got older, I stopped buying squeaky toys (I've read that they contribute to a high prey drive), and a lot of "no's" from my husband, combined with leash traing, and boredom from familiarity.
Dexter died of old age a few weeks ago and we are certainly missing him.

Thank you both. We are missing him.
We recently added a couple of new members to our family.
Bruce, a 4 year old boxer, and June, a kitten around 7 to 8 weeks old, who I found in the chicken yard last Sunday. Both are fitting in and are happy to be part of the family.

@janiedoe I know there have been a lot of "wows" in this thread, but here it comes again, WOW! Your photos are absolutely stunning, 💗 thank you for sharing your life with us! I am so sorry for the loss of your dog, :hugs we lost ours to Congestive Heart Failure at 12 yrs old last November. Not a day goes by without still thinking of him, so I know how tough it is on the heart. Wonderful interview!! :)

Thank you so much, it means a lot coming from you. I have always admired the advice that you give, as well as, your diplomatic delivery. My condolences for your loss.
