I recently found out that sometimes just one member saying hello or acknowledging someone's question can make all the difference!
It sounds like common sense, but someone pointed out to me that I was often the only one that saw those lone members. That in a busy thread full of laughter and bantering, someone would come on in distress, and my response was sometimes all they got. The person that pointed this out was a member that had felt invisible themselves. I was so touched to know I had made such an impact.
So even if you don't know the answer, it is important to acknowledge people. Sometimes just quoting them will get the attention of the people that missed the post the first time. We all have the power to bless others. Even little 'ol me.

Hi, you have always caught my eye/attention on BYC threads; not sure why, but i always enjoy reading what you have to say.
thanks for sharing your personal life w/us. curiosity and bonding are what bring us together, thanks for your help on BYC. i appreciate you!
