My rooster was very funny, he shown anger by pick up an item and beat it repeatedly on the ground. My mom often upset him and we seen the sign of him getting upset. It was very funny he did that while standing next to mom. Some chickens are very communicative that way.

He sounds like he was a very special boy. Seems like it's always our favorites that pass first.

"I have somewhere over 130 chickens" she quietly whispered into the void. Want my help? Thanks to a sneaky polish hen I have 15 more chicks than I planned on for the year. Lots of roosters here.

I buried my rooster in my backyard, it help ease missing him so much. He was sick and I let him go, I regretted my decision every day. My heart still ache.

It's easy to regret all our decisions after they pass, it's heartbreaking to lose them in the first place and we tend to blame ourselves after they are gone. You loved him til the end and still love him now, he knew your heart was broken. I'm sure he's still at your side in spirit when you are with your flock.

That's good to know. Means I only have around 50 chickens.
