Pics
Here's a pic of my SS chick. She is on the right. Not a great pic but all I have at the moment. She's a little younger than the girl with her.

I'm not sure how helpful it is to you, but I'm getting Speckled Sussex from my local Agway? Hanson Grain, they have chicks coming in tomorrow-ish, and then another group June 15th-ish.

(BTW, Hi, brand new here, nice to meet you all, etc.)

Welcome, Hanson grain is where I got my birds two years ago and I buy my feed there. I also shop there for gardening stuff, great store. I'm in Pembroke.

I'm in Whitman. Yeah, Hanson Grain's been wonderful in dealing with my confused newbie questions - helpful and friendly and all-around awesome. My first chickens will be in the tomorrow-ish batch... I'm so excited!

and that CS looks thick!

Thanks! Doris is a BIG girl. Not the brightest bulb. Even by chicken standards. But she lays me a big cream colored egg every single day.
