I was so happy to see 17 peeps. Then my husband's friend who wanted to buy with me backed off...

Now I have to find good home for them SOON.
Any takers??

Hey Massachusetts. I am just finishing up our "coop". Ok, it looked like a coop on paper but i guess it turned out to be more like a small barn 24x10 with a 24x6 covered "porch. Anyway we are ready for chicks but the source I was planning on using has gone quiet. No harm no "fowl" but we were planning on 50 chicks. Therefore I am looking for 50-60 chicks. I am a strong believer in heritage breeds and would like solid stock either Rhode Island Reds and/or Delawares. If anyone has chicks or young pullets for sale and pickup please let me know. You can reply on this page or email us at [email protected]

hi - I'm a new member of backyard chickens. We'd had chickens since last year - 3 brought home from a school project on incubation and the others purchased from a breeder and Hanson Grain store. It has become a passion so we added to the flock this March with an order from McMurray - 27 new chicks. 2 roosters since rehomed since in my town we can't have roosters and I'm waiting for what looks like a few more boys to start crowing soon. I'm sad as I really wanted frizzles and ordered 6 - 2 of each color - and it looks like I will only have 1 girl frizzle for my efforts. We have a assortment - some heritage breeds, some beautiful large cochin from a breeder, and now some silkies and frizzles for the fun factor.

Hello Massfolks. I'm on the southcoast. Have read the forum on & off for a couple years. First post. Down to 2 ladies - a Delaware and a White Chantecler. Looking to source day-old chicks locally (well, relatively locally) of... whatever looks good.
Cheers!

Hello everyone,

I am looking for a new home for my 4 week old blue splash marans chick that is very vocal. She's broody raised and was hatched Memorial Day weekend as an only child. My neighbors and I get along (well except for the crazy lady next door) and they have been ok about the chickens going on two years now. She/he is straining those good relations. I live on Martha's Vineyard but would be willing to meet anyone at the ferry terminal on the mainland side.

Ooh, Arielle! Why don't you get him & cross him into your Black Coppers??

I hope you find him a good home for him, Kannna.
