Hey, this is a really great website, lots of reading material and really involved people. Not my first time keeping chickens but my first time keeping them around so many predators, my father in law and his wife had about 75 that they used to let free range during the day and lock up at night and went from 75 to 4 in less than a month, so I have tried to keep mine, or I should say my two year old daughter's, safe from the things that go bump in the night, dont know how I would explain to her that her chickens got eaten, that would be a bad day for sure

Welcome!! Hope all your birds stay safe. IMO you need to reinforce with hardware cloth. that wire is a bit wide.Good luck!!

I have chicken wire 4 ft up the sides, its hard to see it from there but nothing has gotten in our out yet, the larger wire is 1ft from the top down and the top of the enclosure

Welcome to BYC!

Sorry for all the losses. Once the predators know where a chicken dinner is, they won't quit til you have no birds left. X2 on what Liz has said. Use hardware cloth on all exterior areas of the coop and run to protect your birds. Anything else can be chewed right thru.

Great to have you aboard and welcome to our flock!
