Sinful

Blinded by his camouflaged clothes,
Which hold power among those weakened souls,
He remains a proud son for his father and mother—
Yet a monster to others.

He who touched and caressed
An unwilling, innocent breast,
Fear they watch his every move as he hides
His scornful, guilty eyes.

They wish to reveal his sinful skin
But are scared that those
Who are too proud of him
Won't believe a word they say.

There's gonna be better days,
When the sun comes out and plays.
Right now, you're in a maze.
You're only at the beginning,
You have not yet finished the race.
So hold your head up to the to the sky,
And remember, you are not a disgrace,
What they've said is a lie,
And here's what I have to say:
Don't give up today,
Remember, tomorrow is a brand-new day.
