Got our wheels used, so not really sure what they are.  One looks to be likely an Ashford Traditional, the other is an upright wheel, have not looked to see if I can find a brand that looks similar.

If you post a pic maybe someone will know.

I think you can do it whichever way suits you....but i have only tried it once so i am no expert.

Thank you. I was planning to navajo ply the dyed roving but a friend suggested plying it with black. I'm so glad i tried it!

Yeah! It looks great. I'm new to spinning and am familiar with regular plying.... But what is the Navajo ply?

It's a chain ply; just like the crochet chain stitch.
