I'm a vet student at Cornell and I attended a Backyard poultry lecture last night given by one of avian veterinarians. He gave an amazing lecture talking about the increase of poultry kept as backyard pets in more urban areas. He also talked about treating poultry illnesses and surgeries commonly performed on chickens. He mentioned some sources for students and vets to find helpful information about poultry and this website was one of his top sources! Thought you guys would like to know!

I didn't tell him, but I'm sure I had the goofiest smile on my face! He had a game where he put up chicken breeds on the screen and whoever guessed them got candy. Let's just say, I had a LOT of candy! ROFL!
