Inside the back end of the run.
The front end is covered to give the gang an area to hang out and eat. Back end is open to the sun. In winter the sides are covered with semitransparent tarps as you can see.
The PROBLEM was the top is covered by 1/2 inch hardware cloth. Note it sagging under the weight of snow that didn’t make it through the wire!
Also note the lack of chickens. Nope. They ain’t havin’ it!

We don't get snow very often here in eastern NC. This is from January 2021. The greenhouse and coop/run and very sad banana trees. They made it through just fine, though.

Love you’re greenhouse! I always thought they had to be solid glass. If this works well I may be building one like this!

Your run is doing a lot better than mine did when the snow did that. Mine collapsed! (It was very heavy snow which also took out a couple of trees, but still.) I like your set-up!
