Consult to a doctor (general practitioner) over here is free. For subscribed medicines, laboratory costs and specialist we pay max. 380 euro a year. Rest of the medical care is taxes.

We pay about $3600/yr for our health care and everything is covered 100% except prescriptions. For those we pay $12 for 3 mos. I was in the hospital for cancer two years ago and accrued a $500,000 bill which insurance covered completely.
