I have a screwdriver with a thing with around 60 different bits. Makes device repair so much more fun :rolleyes: .
I know what you are referring to. Its called a security bit set as well. I have this so I can unscrew some of these screws that manufacturers don't want you to do.
2 reasons.
They don't want inexperienced peeps fixing things. That they are not knowledgeable in. For safety concerns :frow
We are in a throwaway society. They want you t come and purchase another one.:(

It's really sad how they don't want anyone fixing stuff. I've had to replace two phone batteries that got bloated, and it was not easy. I wish they'd bring back the removable batteries from the days of old.

The majority of the tech I work with is old enough to be repairable to a degree but anything I own with a Apple on it is not as easy (not counting pre 2000s Macintoshes).

I do encourage everyone to at least try and fix your stuff. It's worth it most of the time.
