I thought this sign might be near Katmai but Icy Point Strait is actually down by Juneau.

I've done a lot of hiking in lots of wilderness areas by myself and I've had more than a few black bear encounters. I have a healthy respect for black bears but being in their territory doesn't bother me.

Grizzly bears, on the other hand, are entirely different creatures. They are fearless and HUGE. I'd love to visit Alaska some day but I don't want to be anywhere near grizzlies!

This video gives me the heebie-jeebies (the man is a wildlife photographer).
