I don't know if this is true, but I hope it is.

Yes that’s true but “too friendly” is terrible wording. It’s dogs that lack the sufficient drive and perseverance to keep up with it. Friendliness has absolutely nothing to do with it. A patrol dog should be friendly/social to some extent. Most bite work is done in prey and defense drive.

Ok, true story from last night. Husband was falling asleep in his recliner while I was puttering about with bedtime routine. He is a deep sleeper and will often talk or answer questions while he is falling asleep and not remember any of it later.

I was looking and calling for our chihuahua, Pancho, and finally found he had already put himself to bed.

Me: “I found him! He burrowed under our covers with a blanket all piled on top. So cute!”

DH: “Food Baby.”

Me: “Pancho isn’t a food baby.”

DH: “Not yet.”

Me: “We don’t eat chihuahuas.”

DH: “Maybe you don’t.”

Me: “We don’t eat chihuahuas.”

DH: “More for me.”

He didn’t remember any of that conversation this morning. 😆
