I like to sit outside one the deck steps in the sun and hold Spook in my lap. His feathers are so soft, and it's lovely to rub my cheek against them... he's a sweet boy, and it certainly gets me to smile.

good grief, just realized I posted something on a wrong thread and now don't remember where I did post it. It was supposed to on the covid thread ie, how people are dealing with it.

My avatar is just a silly gif that I found a couple months ago.
Spook is a guinea rooster who hatched last spring. The poor boy's a bit lonely, I think, because the only remaining hen has been taken by the other male guinea in the flock. We only have three guineas, and we used to have two males and two females, but the other female got run over by accident.
Oh, well, I guess that I'll just have to cuddle Spook and coddle him more than I do usually....
