BYC's Random Funny Posting Thread! Hosts Mike & Sally

Caveman, if I remember correctly you live in the Chicago area. Have they demolished the big Sears home headquarters yet? I have a video of a couple of guys going through the property and showing how it was left when it was ordered evacuated when the pandemic started in 2020. Now it's to be demoed and all the stuff inside goes down with it. The video shows these two guys going through office after office after office packed with computers and people's personal stuff they evidently weren't allowed to come back for. The video gets boring after so many offices but at times it shows the magnificence of the building. It just seems a shame this building has to go down because the new owner wants a building of a different shape there. It seems people have so much money they have lost the true meaning of money. These people make the wrong financial moves someday and they'll be wishing they had this money back.

Yes, I'm from Chitown. The Sears center was under destruction in August 2014.
A Data center purchased the property, and intended to build their own facility.
I know it sounds not right, to tear down such large facility, BUT, remodeling/repurposing to new company needs may have been just as expensive. :idunno
