Each year welcome random thistles that plant themselves in our yard. They are exotic, wildly beautiful, and they are butterfly magnets!

Beautiful! I must confess I don't like thistles at all, and we pull all of them up. I sort of regret that now, because that's so pretty!

I actually don’t know the name, but they are sure pretty!

Thanks! I love making bouquets, but I’d never made one with mainly one color before.

Here’s the list of the plants in it:
Dark purple iris flowers, light purple chive flowers, regular purple & dark purple/white columbine flowers, light purple catmint flowers, yellow globeflower, white bleeding heart flowers, large bleeding heart leaves, Kentucky bluegrass
