Amy - I'm in!!!

Put me down for a chicken. Question though - can we applique or must it be pieced?? I have the cutest chicks off a pattern from Rabbits Love Chocolate - know the quilt at Sisters a few years back??

Wellllllll, this was my effort at the small one, very country looking and some "chicken-scratch" embroidery on it.. really way over my head, I struggled with the little pieces and I know I messed up the positioning of the comb....

soooooooo....I made me a pattern for a bigger chicken..this one I can do 20 of, lol! ...

...ohhh, and don't worry, I'm keeping the smaller practice one, llol!! Won't show up in anyone's block group..I'll put it in my friendship quilt with the blocks of the month and the bigger chickens I promise to be neater and have straighter edges around my "applique"!!!

That's okay! That's what trial runs are for, right?!?! That way you can work the bugs out in the beginning and get it right next time.

SE-GREAT JOB!!! What ever size the chicken is, no problem. Just remember everyone, the blocks need to be 12.5 inches unfinished.

Also remember...you don't have to use the patterns I provided links for...they are simply for example. You can use whatever pattern you choose for the block you choose.

At the advise of my hubby...I am changing 1 item. I am changing the house number to 8 and adding a General Store/Mercantile block. It will take some modifying of the school or house block, but he said we needed a place to buy feed and farm supplies lol.
