I found some cucumber seedlings yesterday at a farmer's market at lunch, couldn't resist a few more tomatos and peppers so I have a good bit planted now..it's a chore to watch 10 chicken hooligans when I let them out so they aren't digging around my plants! My main garden is fenced and chicken wired but I have the cucumbers and other tomatoes in different places in the yard..non-chickened proofed so I have to watch the little devils closely!! They were very excited over the worms I found when plantig the cucumber seedlings though, probably why I had trouble keeping them away later!! I love fresh veggies and cannot wait for things to grow and bloom!!!

Thanks New Chicken! I've been quilting on and off for the past 4 years or so, and have a couple of dozen random blocks that were supposed to be a quilt (or two, or three).... but I always found new colors or a new pattern and wanted to start those too... Kinda like chickens it seems, for some strange reason you can never have just one.... I'm looking at this swap as a chance to finally have a complete quilt! This should be fun!!

Yep, that sounds about right! Lots of unfinished projects at my house too! We'll be glad to have you. Maybe you ought to PM or email amyquilt so she gets your name on... I know she's a busy lady.

ETA: I just noticed you are from Providence. My husband grew up (mostly) in RI. His siblings still live there in Cumberland, Glendale (Burriville?) and Foster. I've been a few times.

I'm sorry guys. With all that is going on here and with my dad, I just can't do it. I had my blocks started, but there is something off a little bit and I just don't have time to buy more fabric and start over since my dad's surgery is coming up and I know my mom will need me to be down there helping out. Sorry to let you all down.

Sara,

Please don't feel that you are letting us down. We all have been in a similar situation at one point or another. Just save those blocks for the next time we have another Town Swap and join us then.

I hope your Dad's surgery goes well and there are no complications. I will add your family to my prayer list here. Hang in there, and keep us posted.

Sara~just like FrChuck said, don't feel like you let us down. We all know there are things that come up and change everything around. I too will add you and your dad to my prayer list.
