Amy~definately family before BYC
SE~thank you for helping Amy and her family by taking over this swap
All those who have jumped in to help us out on this swap~Thank You!
The June 30th is going to help me out a whole bunch
Just relax and make this fun folks, it's better to have awesome blocks done by people that take their time and craft them well than thrown together unuseable ones so hopefully extending the deadline will allow everyone to complete some incredible blocks!!
Also...if you smoke, please fabreeze your blocks before you pack them in plastic bags, thanks so much!!
I am so far behind. I am having issues with my hands and can't work for long periods at a stretch. You have no idea how much this helps me out! I was stressing last night about how in the world I was going to finish my blocks on time.

I'm right there with you MissP! I am so happy it has been delayed until June 30th. This gives me time to get my life in order a bit more and get these blocks made!

I'm in the same boat Gumpsgirl! I finally Moved!! Now I'm horribly torn, I want to crank out my chicken coop as fast as possible, but I also can't wait to get these blocks done.... Hmmmm, maybe it'll keep raining and make my decision easy!
Hey, ya'll just keep posting about your progress and the deadline can be adjusted again if it's really necessary....I know folks do want their blocks though so TRY to stay within this deadline...just keep posting about how you're doing and work on them as you can. It's all good
So I stayed home today and didn't help my DH with the horse's and got my blocks done for my quilting guild now tonight I will do the May blocks and tomorrow I will start on these blocks.
Then after June I will lwork on the fall blocks. It's a good thing I have a new machine. I can get done so much faster. Anyone that needs a new machine save up and get one. You wouldn't believe the stress it takes off of me not having to go 90 miles an hour like I had to with my old machine.
Thanks for the June 30 deadline. I've started my blocks - cut out all pieces for ten of them using 22 pieces per block. Then decided maybe I should piece one or two to be sure they would come out right. Pieced two of them and they weren't coming out to size. So, set all that aside in a box for later. Started working on a simpler (?) paper-pieced block that is only seven pieces plus an appliqued door, window with shutters and chimney. It's coming out to size, but because of the angles being bias, they don't seem right to me. I've got four pieced and one with the appliques done. I just looked at them today (well, yesterday- Monday) and didn't sew. Question for those of you who do paper piecing: Do you leave the paper on back until you are ready to start piecing the quilt top or do you take it off when you complete piecing the block? Am I stressing out? YES! LOL Taking deep breaths and calming down. 'Cause this is for fun!
Ginbart, what kind of machine did you get? Mine is over thirty years old and it's having problems. Or I am. Am thinking I want a new machine soon.
