I'm so glad you found some friends for your buff-girl.
I love the sound of a rooster crowing too! Not so much, the sound of 30 roosters crowing at 3am just outside my bedroom window.
It gets to where it's just 'background noise'.

Here are some more of my silly birds. These were out scratching in my newly sprouted rye and about to get me in trouble.

I told you, they are ODD! Was that my ph cut us off, or your ph?
First pic is Naked Neck Frizzle Green-Egger cockerel. The one right behind the splash NN boy is a leaky blue fibromelanotic (black-skin) frizzle green-egger guy, and in the background is a black fibromelanotic green-egger pullet.
The last pic is my splash Plymouth Rock guy and behind him in the pic is a barred NN green-egger youngster.
My poor Rock guys have all molted their tails and are acting kind of subdued. Splash Rock guy has that one lone feather hanging on. I've got a black Rock guy that looks like he's been plucked.

They have great color on their legs (deep yellow).

They are still a bit young to judge their barring because they will go through another heavy molt @ 20 wks.

Just by looking at their combs/wattles it looks like 2 roos, but still a bit early I think...so we'll keep a close eye on em and see what they look like in another month or so.
