No, but it wasn't as bad as it *could* have been. I'll give you the gory details later.

Sorry to hear bad news.

It's raining nicely..tyvm.

We need it badly here on our property too. The storms always seem to go north, or south...and our property can be almost arid sometimes. I love the sound of the rain, hitting the window a/c...here in the kitchen.
My chickens though...they pout when it is cold wet and rainy. They hang out upstairs in their chicken tractor....and barely venture downstairs at all.

We covered the top chicken wire walls with plastic for winter. They still get daylight, but a little more protection from the elements.

Welcome Leannan. That is a beautiful tractor. It is raining here in Ga too. And my chickens, guinea's and especially my goats are not very happy with it at all. They all yelled at me like it was my fault. Crazy animals. But I so love them. Now that you joined we need to see pics of your chickens.

Thank you !!!.....very nice peoples!!

I am finally learning my way around this site....lol

We have 7 chickens..6 pullets, 1 roo...and I am learning they are American Gamefowl. I am soooooo chicken stoopid..

But, they are fun...and can be funny. We don't really do much with them. Move them around the 1 acre, keep their coop clean, let them play in the "sports coop"...hooking it up to the main coop with a pass through. Hooking the 2 doors together. It is not secure for nightime, but during the day...makes 'em feel special.

We have been feeding them pellets..(don't ask me what), greens from the garden, kitchen snacks, and a chicken granola I mixed up from all of the feed dust in the bottom of the feed barrel. They love the wiggly critters in the summer. Yanno...worms, crickets, etc.

Here is the pics...

You can barely see on the last pic...but the door matches right up to the chicken tractor door. It is merely the bottom of the 2nd coop, unfinished. I think they like it, for their playyard. Silly chickens.
