We had 2 heads of cabbage and we put it in our chicken coop and pen, and they loved to peck at it! So its a good idea to put some cabbage heads in the coop for winter, then they will stop pecking each others eyes.

Great idea!! My flock loves to play cabbage tether ball. It takes them about half a day to gnaw it down to a nub. lol

I normally tie individual savoy leaves up; so they hang down above the floor - just about head height to make em work for it!

Hadn't thought of doing it with a full head but will give this a whirl thanks:)

Quote: your welcome! and I've never thought about savoy leaves either!

Sorry I'm posting so much! but one more thing, do you by chance know all the 'levels'? example: new egg, just hatched etc. just curious so I know when to be proud haha!

I got a spinning wire ball to put the girls treats inside for even more hilarious fun. I think it is for a hamster but don't tell my ladies. It attaches to the side of their pen and provides a ton of entertainment for everyone.

Thank you SO much Amiga!! I got some posts to do lol!

I take bird food block holders and put grass etc. inside and the ducks even love it!
