Cabinet incubator experts... Lots of pics

I dont think it is home made, I have 1 very similar like it and mine is a old red wood GQF, mine looked just like yours til I had a turner put in it. I got mine for 60 bucks at a yard sale and had the turner given to me and I had friend to rig the turner into the bator...........good luck............hope you get it..........

Does yours work well? Did you add the cabinet-type turner, or the hovabator kind like these?

I was thinking of offering $80-100? I can't remember how much I paid for my egg turners, but I think they alone were $35+ each.

I'll let him get rid of the eggs LOL I don't mind doing the rest of the cleaning, but they're his risk

I had a turner out of a sportsman that I put into it. It works well, holds temp very well...............

Yay! That's just what my husband didn't want to hear

Go for it, Looks like a nice setup. How cool, looks like you could add another turner in there if you wanted to. Great find. I would agree start at 50 bucks and tell him if that does not sound right shoot you a price.

Again, something my husband doesn't want to hear LOL He's hoping we can come to some agreement with the feedstore next spring.

I'd say $100 at the most b/c it does look like it needs work.

And yeah, price would definitely be if/once he removes those NASTY eggs.

I believe this is a homemade incubator with Gqf parts. I have a really old GQf and it has the trays that turn, but you have to turn a crank on top of the bator to turn the trays. I'ts the only one I have ever seen like it. Anyway, I believe if this were factory made it would have some way to turn the trays. Also the Electronic thermostate is in the wrong place for a factory made one, it should be up on top with the humidity pans. If you can get it right I see no reason why it should not work just fine. I would plug it up and make sure it keeps a constant temp. Those electronic thermostates will go bad and the temp will vary, they will vary enough to keep your eggs from hatching well. If it is bad remember the new ones are around $70. bucks, so I would consider that when offering a price. If it keeps a constant temp then you are good to go!
