Let's see.. 100 birds.... Let's say you are really good and can butcher 2 an hour. 50 hours of work.... I will assume you have a job so can only devote 5 hours a day. So for 10 straight days you will be spending your spare time cleaning chickens.... That don't have a lot of meat on them.... and are tough...

Good luck... I have a hard time getting my 15 cornish crosses cleaned. I did pluck but it was taking me 45 minutes a bird... They look awesome and taste fine(just like store bought maybe a little better.) Most were 5 lbs plus dressed....

No Boilerjoe. I am disabled & don't work. I am fairly efficient at butchering though. I think I can avg. 4 per hour at least. The last one I did took 10min from slicing it's throat to the fridge. But, that was a laying hen that broke its ankle. I have never tried a cornish x, YET but I can't imagine they can be any harder than a wild duck or goose. I used to hunt a lot before I broke my back in 3 places & was quite good at cleaning my kills.

So you think they will be tuff. I'm wondering the same thing. If I butcher them young(about 2-3# dressed) will they still be tough & how long will it take for them to get to that weight?

Sorry for jacking your thread, Pawtraitart!!

I haven't tried the frypan special, but I did order Spitzhaubens and received Silver Spangled Hamburgs instead.
Make a great day!
