Hello all
I am wondering what y’all got when you ordered Olive Eggers from Cackle Hatchery. Pics of babies to adults would be MUCH appreciated.

I ordered one and have worked myself into a frenzy about the gender of this bird. (I made another post about it in genders/breeds but only got one response) I really just want to see what other folks have gotten as Olive Eggers from Cackle.

Here are a couple pics from the day we brought them home (Mar 5)

Thank you!

I just ordered some, arriving next week. They are Crested Cream Legbar over Welsummer. Agree it looks to be a pullet. (the brown one anyway)
Photo is an example of what an adult hen may look like.
The little grey one looks different. I am not sure that is an olive egger and if it is, different breeds were used to create it.😊

The gray one (Easter Egger) probably has a pea comb, which is why its comb is so small.

The brown one (Olive Egger) has a single comb, which is naturally larger than a pea comb, so the different comb sizes probably do NOT indicate different genders.

If you ordered pullets, I do not see any reason to worry right now.

Thank you for this! The bird pictured looks A LOT like the chick in question, as she is feathering out. Here she is today (at 4 weeks). The grey one is an Easter Egger.

5 weeks old yesterday and y’all, I have no doubt this bird is a cockerel. I did some reading and found that the black chest is indicative of male for the cream legbar. Then there’s the random patterning all over and what I believe to be rust colored splotches coming in on the shoulders/back. The comb isn’t alarmingly red to me (I’ve had much younger pullets with much redder comb/wattles), but I’m convinced. Don’t know what I’ll do with him, which makes me sad because he is so sweet and is feathering beautifully! Lol, anyone want an olive Egger cockerel?
