Cackle Hatchery Question

Hi all -

I called Cackle but I couldn't get a human on the phone so I figured I'd ask here.

I'm trying to place an order on Cackle's website, I know the minimum order is 3 chickens (I'm ordering more than that) but does that mean that for some breeds I have to order 3 of the same breed because that's what it seems like. I only want to purchase 1 of each breed. Am I out of luck?

I have never ordered from Cackle hatchery
But do they have an email address so you can email them.

Did you call on a weekday?

My guess is that you can mix and match.

Yes the have a min of 3 chicks per breed of chickens.

And in past years it was a minimum of 5 chicks per breed variety.

They changed it sometime I just ordered some chicks for my egg pen
And it was 3 per breed

They changed it but left out its a min of 3 of each breed of you try to order lower then 3 it won't go to the cart.
I ordered 15 for my egg pen and I had to do 3 of each breed.
Unless you get the Marans or dark egg package then it's 5 min order.

Yes. 3/breed. Just received my 16 ordered and they added in an extra 4. Very pleased. Shipped from MO yesterday and arrived this morning in Florida. All chicks healthy and exactly as ordered. (4 breeds, with each breed consisting of 3 pullets & 1 cockerel) Incidentally, they also marked the cockerels, which is awesome!

They marked the cockerels? That's awesome! I've never heard of a hatchery doing that before.
