Cackle Hatchery reviews

My turkey poults are 6 1/2 weeks old now and all are doing great! Unfortunately, I think there are more boys than girls, but I'll live with it.

Awww super cute!

We just placed our first order with Cackle Hatchery online tonight and I'm so excited! I'm anxiously awaiting my confirmation email with the ship/arrival date. :fl

Originally we were going to hit up TSC Chick Days this week, but I REALLY wanted some EEs. So being the loving man that he is, my DH let me order 10 EE pullets, plus 5 Barred Rocks that I've had my eye on. :love I will update with pictures when they arrive.
:thumbsup

That is awesome! When I was in 4-h I ordered my bantams off them they arrived all alive and made it I ordered the starter gel for there water. If you didn't I would go to tractor supply or rural king and get some just to give them a jump start. :ya

Thanks! I actually still have NutriDrench left over from my 6 I got from TSC this past spring. They did really well on it, so I decided to use it again. :)

Hi all. I live in Lebanon Mo and have purchased a few times from Cackle since they are right here in town. They have a healthy clean area and produce healthy chicks. Their sexing seems to be pretty good. Usually they are right 95%of the time give or take.
They do have their own flocks and therefore can run out of certain breeds fast. I know for example they are already done producing ducklings- Whereas I know my Ducks produced well into winter and beyond.
Now, they are healthy and proper poultry but are not show quality often.
They offer good customer service and decent prices. I just took advantage of their in store sale getting pullets for $2.25 each.
If I moved and wanted to place an order I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from Cackle for decent stock.
Just my 2 bits.

Cackle Hatchery is the worst! I received chicks that had been shipped for over 24 hours without a heat pack in 7 degree February weather. We had dead chicks upon arrival and within 48 hours had lost 12 of the 24 chicks. I’m still waiting to see if we have any left in a few days. I called and they would ship us the ones that we lost unless we purchased more because they said they don’t ship unless there are 15 chicks. I told them they could send 15 but I shouldn’t have to purchase more when the loss was due to their negligence. Chelsea, the office manager refused to send them and told me that they ship over 100,000 chicks and they would lose too much money. I told her that they would never get any of my money again. Buyer Beware!!!

Just received my 3 Columbian Wyandotte chicks from Cackle yesterday morning. All are thriving. Cackle added extra insulation and there was a heat pack that was still very warm when chicks arrived. Was a very positive experience and I would definitely order from them again.
