I just purchases some silver and gold appenzeller spitzhauben from them plus 20 red broilers. Any thoughts on how their stock is. I know I put the cart before the horse but they were the only ones to sell gold ones

I ordered some as well, scheduled to ship 2/22. What is your ship date? If it's not for a while I can update you when I get mine. There was a thread on here for people to post pictures of their stock from Cackle and someone had pics of their silver Spitzhaubens and they looked very nice. A lot of the pictures on the cackle website are from customers so that also gives you an idea.

If you put Cackle Hatchery in the Search box, you'll get results that include a lot of reviews by members that have purchased from them. I haven't ordered from them, but they are a popular supplier.

Hi Sunhwakwon I have mine ordered for april 12th. It would be great to hear what you think about the chicks they send you. I really love the colors of the spitzhauben. These will be my first of the breed I know they are flighty but so is my leghorn, I named her flighty girl because she kept flying out of the run. (now its covered so she cant) I'm hoping to get a rooster out of them (but only one) lol. I ordered 3 of each color so I also hope to get at least a pullet from each color as well. We know how that goes. Thanks for the advise I will look on youtube as well.

It was quite funny because I just went on Facebook when I got home and lo and behold they (Cackle) had just posted a video of their gold appenzeller flock! Someone replied with a picture of one of theirs that they got from cackle.

i will have to check out facebook because i just went on youtube and there was no video of the gold only of the silver. they must be fairly new for cackle. thank you for the info. I'm really excited and looking forward to getting them.
