cackle hatchery

I got 17 rhode island red bantams from cackle hatchery..they were mailed on the 13 of may..2009..i ordered 15 and they sent two extra(THEY SEEMED WEAK AND STRESSED WHEN THEY ARRIVED BUT HAVE REALLY RECOVERD NICELY),,,so far they are all alive and doing very well and growing fast..only cost me 41.00...i dont know if they will be show quality or not...but the best thing is tha they are all healthy...and should make a good utility bantam..especially for eggs...i have a show quality male i can breed with the pullets next year if i am still alive...anybody else get red bantams from cackle,and what is your experience???

YEA, YOU ARE RIGHT...UNTILL THE GOAT TURNS AROUND,,,NEVER HEARD THAT ONE BEFORE..BUT THATS A GOOD ONE!...NO USE TO TAKE THIS CRAZY LIFE TOO SERIOUSLY..CAUSE WHEN THE GOAT TUNS AROUND...THEN YOU GO DOWN..DOWN...DOWN!....AND IF YOU DONT BURN UP DOWN THERE,ITS BECAUSE YOU WORE YOUR ASBESTOS SUIT...YEA MAN!....WOMAN!

I had the same experience with Cackle. My 15 chicks arrived late and were really, really stressed. I lost 5. I have NEVER had that high of a mortality rate. This was in April and Cackle still has done nothing to make this right.

I have some turkeys & chicks coming!!!

They were shipped Monday no sign of them yet!!

I have been considering ordering from them. I have heard others on here rave about them. I hate to hear that you lost five chicks and they have not made it right.

I ordered my 100 roos from then im May, they arrived like clockwork 2 days later (we live in MN, Cackle is in MO) with happy healthy babies. Havent lost one yet and they arrived May 5th

ETA: they sent 4 packing peanuts too hooray!

I orderd from them twice this year nice chicks ducks and turkey
( for hatchery ) alot better than Mc.Murray or ideal by far...
So far I got 4 turkey, 2 geese, 3 ducks and around 130 chicks all of them are doing real great... They will have my order next year..
