This calcium treatment is extremely short term. Worrying about balancing with phosphorus isn't necessary.

I guess I am wondering what is short term? Should I stop after three days, one week? If nothing has happened. She is not walking with her tail down or anything like that. Just laying these odd things every now and then that get her down for a couple of days. Her appetite is not what it used to be either. This calcium treatment is extremely short term. Actually, maybe it worked this time, I just got another one.I guess I am wondering what is short term? Should I stop after three days, one week? If nothing has happened. Is that hollow? If you still have it, can you cut it open?Actually, maybe it worked this time, I just got another one.
It contained egg white, or clear liquid, maybe thinner than egg white. The shell is pale blue (she lays blue eggs) but is not hard, and not completely soft. Shes been laying normal shaped fairy eggs and in Jan started with these odd shaped ones, along with a couple like this, but soft shell and attatched to a normal sized, yolk contained, soft shell (pic in my other thread) Im thinking she has a tumor or obstruction where the egg is formed causing this shape? She must have some blockage in her ovary too that prevents a yolk from being released as often as it should? The last yolk she released was last week, with out a shell, on the roost tray. She was on Bactrim for a week, off a week, and I just started her back on after she laid the shelless egg. Im also giving her Meloxicam for swelling/pain, and ND or EmerAid to supplement her lack of appetite for food. She still free ranges and will eat “snacks”, sctatches, preens, suns, socializes and runs from me.Is that hollow? If you still have it, can you cut it open?

Agree. I probably need to dose her with the CalCitD pill a couple times a week. Thank you.I would make sure she's getting the calcium as well.
Hopefully the Bactrim will help with any infection. It's possible she may be laying internally or she may have a shell gland defect or something else - there's so many things that affect a hen's reproductive system it's hard to know.
Daily for at least a week.Agree. I probably need to dose her with the CalCitD pill a couple times a week. Thank you.
