Misty, my hen is 4 years old. She has laid eggs with calcium deposits on the shell her whole life. Just recently we started getting calcium deposits inside the eggs as well and the shells have been thinner. she's not been a very good layer her whole life, in fact this is the first year she's truly laid regularly. We did just lose one of our hens, so maybe that has stressed her out? any thoughts on why this might be happening?
she's an easter egger.

Are you feeding a layer ration? I saw calcium deposits when I fed a layer, but no longer do now that I feed an All Flock ration with a separate bowl of oyster shells for the calcium needs.
